FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – Earlier today, Conference Carolinas named Emmanuel's Sam Thacker the Men's Basketball Freshman of the Month. 

After missing several games due to injury, Thacker made an immediate impact in December, averaging 12.8 points per game to help the Lions close out the month on a 5-game win streak. 

Thacker averaged 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists throughout the month. His best numbers came in the Lions 87-83 win over Shorter where Thacker contributed 19 points, connecting on 7-11 from the field. In the month, Thacker hit 16 three-pointers, with a season high 4 made against North Greenville.

Thacker and the Lions will be back in action tomorrow at 4PM as the Lions host Ferrum University in conference play.
