Kingsport, TN – The Emmanuel Women's Swimming team finished conference championship action today at the Kingsport Aquatic Center. The Lions closed out the Conference Carolinas Championship with the 1650 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, and the 400 Freestyle Relay.
- In the 1650 Free, Eulalie Clech finished 2nd with a time of 17:30.36 with Isabella Hernandez taking 4thwith a time of 17:54.97.
- In the 200 Backstroke, Isabell Schller finished 1st with a time of 2:01.63.
- In the 100 Freestyle, Darielys Ortiz placed 2nd with a time of 52.32.
- In the 200 Breaststroke, Catalina Acacio finished 2nd with a time of 2:16.57 to earn an NCAA cut.
- In the 200 Butterfly, Marcela Alonso finished 2nd with a time of 2:10.23.
- In the 400 Freestyle Relay, the Emmanuel team of Ortiz, Zoe Anthony, Schiller and Alonso finished 2ndwith a time of 3:28.90.
After the final day of competition, the Lions finished in 3
rd place behind three-time Conference Champion, UNC Pembroke and 2
nd place finisher University of Montevallo.
