Lions Fall to Lees McRae 21-12

Franklin Springs, GA- The Emmanuel Women's Flag Football team opened up conference play this afternoon against Lees McRae College. The Lions got on the board first, but the Bobcats responded to take the lead 14-6 after the first. The Bobcats expanded their lead to 21-6 in the 3rd, but the Lions answered to score a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter to make it 21-12, which would be the final score. With the loss, the Lions fall to 3-2 on the season, 0-1 in conference play.

On the day, Lillian Stephenson was 27-47 for 227 yards. She threw 2 touchdowns, with a long of 32 yards and accounted for 2 interceptions. Desiree Quiles led the Lions in rushing with 3 rushes for 25 yards. Gianna Brown had 15 receptions for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns on the day. 
 
Defensively, Gianna Brown had 7 tackles (5 solo) and 0.5 tackles for loss. Kylie Warren-Young, Gwen Carter, and Desiree Quiles each had 4 tackles on the afternoon.
