SPARTANBURG, SC – The Emmanuel Women's Golf team traveled to Spartanburg, SC this week to compete in the Converse Spring Invite hosted by Converse University. After a slow start on day one, the Lions took the lead to close out the day and held onto it on the second day of the tournament to edge Southern Wesleyan for a first-place finish. The Lions finished the tournament shooting +57 as a team for a total of 633, with the second-place Warriors shooting +62.

Mara Martinez who finished 4
th as an individual shooting +10 on the tournament. Teammate,
Lucia Salinas took 5
th, shooting +13, with both Lions being named to the All-Tournament Team. Four Lion golfers ended the
tournament with top 10 finishes.
