Lions Fall to Florida Gateway College

Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Flag Football team hosted top-ranked Florida Gateway College this afternoon in non-conference action. The Timberwolves jumped out to an early lead, heading into halftime up 34-0. The Timberwolves continued to control the pace of the game in the 2nd half of play to earn the 59-0 victory.

Lillian Stephenson completed 26-48 for 138 yards.

Gwen Carter led the way with 6 receptions for 49 yards, with Gianna Brown adding 6 catches for 47.

Defensively, Jamiese Spivey led the way with 8 flag pulls and 2 passes broken up. Gwen Carter broke up 4 passes, with Gianna Brown adding an interception. 

The Lions will be back in action this afternoon against Mars Hill at 4PM.
