Ferrum, VA – The Emmanuel Women's Flag Football team traveled to Ferrum, VA. For a conference match up with Mount St. Mary's. It was a defensive battle from the start, with Gianna Brown scoring the game's only touchdown in the 2^nd quarter to give the Lions the win, 7-0.

Lillian Stephenson found Gianna Brown for the score with under three minutes to go in the 2^nd quarter to put the Lions up 7-0.

Stephenson was 21-39 for 191 yards and a touchdown. She also threw an interception. 

Sydne Stoker led the team in rushing with 7 yards.

Gwen Carter led the Lions in receiving with 5 catches for 54 yards. Elzie Baker added 3 receptions for 40 yards, with Gianna Brown picking up 37 yards on 5 receptions and a score.

Defensively, Kylie Warren-Young and Gwen Carter each had 8 flag pulls, Kinsey Bishop had 4.0 TFL and 4 sacks for 20 yards. 

Next up, the Lions will travel to Mount Olive, NC to face Chowan University and University of Mount Olive on Thursday at 5PM.
