Bellevue, KY – The Emmanuel Women's Bowling team opened Conference Carolinas Championship action this week. After qualifying 2^nd behind reigning Conference Champion, Belmont Abbey the Lions faced #5 seed Thomas More in the first match of the tournament. 

LIONS 4, THOMAS MORE 3

The Lions and Saints bowled 7 games, with the Lions edging Thomas More, 4-3 to move onto the 2^nd round in the winners bracket.

The Lions took the first three games, 192-176, 224-154, 167-124. The Saints responded well to earn the next three wins, 148-134, 152-148, 179-164. The Lions rallied to close the match strong, earning the win in the 7^thgame, 190-181. 

Next up, the Lions will face #4 seed, Walsh tomorrow.
