Mount Olive, NC – The Emmanuel Women's Flag Football team traveled to Mount Olive, NC tonight to face the University of Mount Olive in conference play. The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the 1^st quarter and tacked on 19 points in the 2^nd to take a 33-0 lead at the halftime break. The Lions kept their foot on the gas, outscoring the Trojans 37-0 in the 2^nd half of play to earn the 70-0 shutout. 

The Lions outgained the Trojans 383-174 on the night, with 13 first downs compared to Mount Olive's 12. 

Lillian Stephenson completed 32-47 passes for 7 touchdowns to lead the Lions. 

Gwen Carter was the Lions leading rusher with 5 carries for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Gianna Brown eclipsed 100 yards receiving in the game, with 10 receptions for 115 yards and 2 scores. Gwen Carter picked up 72 yards on 7 receptions and 2 touchdowns, while Elzie Baker had 7 catches for 62 yards and a score. Lillian Stephenson caught a touchdown 10-yard pass in a trick play.

Defensively, DaMoijah Flowers led the Lions with 9 flag pulls, one for loss, and a sack. Kylie Warren Young had 7 flag pulls and an interception on the night, with Jamiese Spivey and Sydne Stoker adding an interception. Stoker returned her interception for 20 yards. 
Next, the Lions will travel to Wilson, NC to face Barton College tomorrow at 5PM.
