Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Clark Atlanta University today in non-conference action. The Lions jumped ahead early, earning the doubles point. The Lions went onto win 3-4 singles matches to earn the 4-3 victory. 

DOUBLES PLAY

• At #1 Doubles, Tawana Senah/Anna Goncalves (Emmanuel) def. J. Brittain/K. Talbert (CAU) 7-5. 
• At #2 Doubles, Franziska Wolter/Anhelina Zmushko (Emmanuel) def. G. Dooling/A. Turnbough (CAU) 6-1. 
• The Panthers won #3 Doubles by default. 

SINGLES PLAY

• At #1 Singles, Anna Goncalves (Emmanuel) fell to J. Brittain (CAU) in three sets. Brittain took the first set, 6-1 before Goncalves rallied to win set two, 6-4. Brittain took the tiebreaker, 7-6. 
• At #2 Singles, Anhelina Zmushko (Emmanuel) def. G. Dooling (CAU) in three sets. Dooling won set one, 7-6 before Zmushko took the final two sets, 6-1, 6-2. 
• At #3 Singles, Franziska Wolter (Emmanuel) def. A. Turnbough (CAU) 6-4, 6-1. 
• At #4 Singles, Emma Auger (Emmanuel) def. K. Talbert (CAU) 6-1, 6-2. 
• The Panthers won #5 an #6 Singles by default.  

The Lions will be back in action tomorrow as they host Ferrum College in Conference play at 2PM.
