Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team hosted Ferrum College this afternoon in conference action. The Lions jumped out to an early lead, taking the doubles point. Emmanuel went onto win 4 of 5 singles matches to earn the win, 5-1. 

DOUBLES PLAY

• At #1 Doubles, Franziska Wolter/Anhelina Zmushko (EU) def. B. Solorzano/S. Porras (FC) 6-4.
• At #2 Doubles, Anna Goncalves/Emma Auger (EU) def. H. Huffman/O. Eisenman (FC) 6-0. 
• #3 Doubles had no result due to default. 

SINGLES PLAY

• At #1 Singles, Tawana Senah (EU) fell to B. Solorzano (FC) in three sets. Senah took the first set, 6-4 but Solorzano won the final two sets, 6-3, 10-7. 
• At #2 Singles, Anna Goncalves (EU) def. S. Porras (FC) in three sets. Goncalves took the first set, 6-4 but Porras took set 2, 7-6. Goncalves went onto win the tiebreaker, 1-0.
• At #3 Singles, Anhelina Zmushko (EU) def. H. Huffman (FC) by opponent retirement.
• At #4 Singles, Franziska Wolter (EU) def. O. Eisenman (FC) 6-0, 6-0. 
• At #5 Singles, Emma Auger (EU) won by default. 

 
Next up, the Lions will host Erskine College on April 1 at 2PM.
