Franklin Springs, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Flag Football team hosted Lindsey Wilson College this afternoon on Senior Day. Before the game, the Lions honored senior,
Kinsey Bishop, honoring her for all that she's done for the program.
The Blue Raiders took the lead in the 2
nd quarter to lead 7-0 heading into halftime. Both teams picked up a score in the 3
rd to give the Blue Raiders the 13-6 lead heading into the 4
th. The Lions outscored Linsey Wilson, 6-0 in the final quarter to cut the lead to a point, to make 13-12 the final score.
Lillian Stephenson was 15-31 on the afternoon for 119 yards and 2 scores. Stephenson led the team in rushing with 11 carries for 37 yards, with
Gwen Carter adding 2 carries for 27 yards.
Carter led the team in receiving with 2 receptions for 44 yards and a score, while
Gianna Brown picked up 35 yards and a touchdown on 4 catches.
Defensively, Kylie Warren-Young and Carter picked up five flag-pulls a piece to lead the team. Warren-Young picked off the Blue Raider's quarterback for 2 yards, and Carter led the team with 5 pass breakups.
