SNOW HILL, NC – The Emmanuel Men's Golf Team captured their first Conference Carolinas Championship title this week, after shooting under par in each of the final two rounds. The Championship was held at Cutter Creek Golf Course in Snow Hill, NC.
Following a second round of shooting 286, the Lions shot 285 in the final round to win the title by four strokes over a surging Barton College. The Lions finished with a tournament total of 869.
Freshman,
Gabriel Hull led the way for the Lions finishing in 3
rd place with a score of 214, with teammate
Pietro Fenoglio placing 4
th, with a tournament score of 215.
Lukas Lautrup-Nissen finished T7 with a score of 219 to round out the leading Lions. Hull, Fenoglio, and Lautrup-Nissen were all named to the All-Tournament team.

With the Conference Championship win, the Lions earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship. The selections will be announced on Sunday, April 26
th. The South/Southeast Regional will be hosted at the Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, GA on May 7-9
th.
