WINGATE, NC – The Emmanuel Women's Triathlon team opened the 2026 season yesterday with a test against the #1 ranked, Wingate Bulldogs in a dual. 

The race consisted of a 300-yard swim, 8km 1 lap bike, and 2km 2 lap run. 

The Bulldogs came away with the team victory, outscoring the Lions 36-19, with the two top finishers. 

Emmanuel's Daniela Lincango led the way for the Lions with a 3^rd place individual finish and a time of 28:17.0.

9^th – Rica Botz (31:31)
10^th – Mayte Moposita (32:01)

The Lions will be back in action on Sunday, September 13 at the Lake Davidson Sprint Cup.
