Box Score SAINT LEO, FL - The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team traveled to the Sunshine state to take on Saint Leo University in non-conference play. After weather delayed the game two hours, the game got underway at 9 PM. The Saint Leo Lions took the lead early and held off the Lions late to earn the win, 3-2. 

After a delayed start, the Saint Leo Lions struck first with a goal in the 2^nd minute of play to take the 1-0 lead. The Lions settled in, allowing just 4 shots in the first half, 1 on goal. At the half, the Lions trailed Saint Leo, 1-0.

The second half saw Saint Leo put the pressure on, outshooting the Lions 3-0 early. Emmanuel goalkeeper, Edouard Laberge had two early saves in the half and Enzo Joly found the net for Emmanuel to knot the score at 1-1 at the 56:27 mark. But the Saint Leo Lions responded quickly with a goal at 62:02 to make the score, 2-1 Saint Leo. A minute later, it was Joly again with his 2^nd goal of the half, assisted by John Ruetschle to make it 2-2. Saint Leo answered with a goal in the 80^th minute to take the 3-2 lead. The Lions held onto earn the win, 3-2. In the 2^nd half, Saint Leo outshot Emmanuel, 11-3 with 6 shots on goal. Edouard Laberge finished the night with 4 saves in goal.

Next up, the Lions will open conference play on the road at Shorter University on September 8^th at 7:30PM.
