Nate Shadoan took on the role of Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Emmanuel University in fall 2024, after serving as an assistant coach at Union University. Hailing from Somerset, Kentucky, Nate discovered his passion for volleyball through his older sister playing and father coaching at the high school level and has since grown through the guidance of various players and coaches.
Before Union, Nate spent a season at Lee University and had a standout four-year stint at Bryan College, where he earned AAC Assistant Coach of the Year and helped secure multiple AAC titles.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Nate has also worked with the K2 Volleyball Club in Louisville, Tennessee, where he assisted with 17u and 15u Elite National teams, head coached a 16u Elite National team, and supported the boys' program. He learned from top coaching talent like K2 Volleyball directors J and Chris Hames and collaborated with D1/D2 college coaches at camps and clinics to enhance his skills.
Nate was a key player for Bryan College’s Men’s Volleyball Team, excelling as a defensive specialist, setter, and utility hitter, and serving as co-captain for his last two years. He graduated from Bryan College in 2018 with a degree in elementary education and an MBA in Sports Management.
