Kenneth Bellamy

Coach Bellamy is entering his second season with the Lions. 

In his first season, the Lions made the conference tournament and made a run to third place

Prior to Emmanuel, he served as the assistant coach for two years and one year as the interim head coach at Georgia College and State University.  During his year as the interim head coach GCSU had the most wins in the past five years.

He served as the assistant softball coach at Division I Mercer University in Macon. In his lone season there, Mercer picked up 24 wins and made it to the Southern Conference Tournament.

He served as the head coach at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie from 2012-2020. During his tenure, Bellamy coached 19 all-region players who furthered their softball careers at four-year schools. Bellamy was named Coach of the Year twice, once in 2017 and once in 2019. The 2017 season ended with Salkehatchie earning the regular-season championship and the region tournament runner-up crown. Bellamy also led his team to a region tournament championship title.

Before his tenure as a junior college head coach Bellamy served as a volunteer assistant coach and interim head coach at Paine College.

Bellamy is a Beech Island, South Carolina native. He earned an associate degree at USC Salkehatchie playing baseball there for two seasons. He continued his baseball career at Paine College while perusing an English degree and graduating Cum Laude.

Bellamy and his wife Courtney have two children. They have one daughter, River Grace and one son, Kanaan Rafe. The Bellamy’s also have two dogs(Murph & Milly) who made the move to Emmanuel University with them.
