In his fourth season at Emmanuel Coach Fagan led the 2024 squad to their second most wins in school history (35). The team also boasted the most conference wins in school history (19). The 2024 Lady Lions were an offensive powerhouse. They led Conference Carolinas in batting average (.362), runs (176), RBI’s (169), hits (253), and were the hardest team to strike out (56). They set program records in Homeruns (60), Slugging percentage (.558), and batting average (.351). The team produced 5 All-Conference Players: 3 First Team Selections (Lexi Jordan, Ellee Varner and Kelley Feigen), and 2 Second Team selections (Alyssa Adams and Maddie Edwards). The 2024 team finished runner-up in the Conference tournament and had 3 players named to the All-Tournament Team (Jaryn Gibson, Isabel Harrison and Maddie Edwards). For the first time in program history, Emmanuel produced the Conference Player of the Year in Alyssa Adams. Adams received several post-season awards including NFCA All-Region, D2CCA All-Region, and another first for Emmanuel Softball, Adams was named second team NFCA All-American. The 2024 Lady Lions finished Regionally ranked 9th (the highest Regional ranking in program history).


In Coach Fagan’s third season at Emmanuel, he led the 2023 Lady Lions to their second consecutive 30-win season. This squad was Fagan’s best yet. They were ranked in the top three in Conference Carolinas in Batting Average, Fielding Percentage, and E.R.A. They also finished fourth overall in the regular season standings, which was the highest finish ever for Emmanuel Softball. The 2023 Lady Lions improved in almost every statistical category. The team set program records in batting average (.326), slugging percentage (.454), on-base percentage (.389), home runs, and fielding percentage (.969). The Emmanuel team also dropped their strikeouts from 220 to 151. The 2023 team produced 5 All-Conference Players. 3 First Team selections (Maddie Edwards, Alyssa Adams, and Jaryn Gibson), 1 Second Team selection (Kinsley Goolsby), and 1 All-Defensive Team selection (Lexi Jordan). Ellee Varner was named to the All-Tournament Team. Another first for the 2023 Lady Lions was ace pitcher, Maddie Edwards winning Conference Pitcher of the Year and being named to the NFCA All-Region Team.

In his second season at Emmanuel, Head Coach Kevin Fagan led the Lions to the most wins in school history (37). The 2022 Lions were much improved in every offensive and defensive category, breaking every school record in the DII era. The 2022 team established program records in batting average (.312), on base percentage (.376), stolen bases (108), homeruns (24) and runs batted in (288). 10 players on the team batted over .310. Defensively, the 2022 Lions recorded a program best fielding percentage (.962) with a record 1168 put outs. Emmanuel Softball had one of the toughest schedules in the Nation and were 4-2 against top 25 teams. The 2022 Team set a new standard for post season awards, with six Emmanuel players being named to the All-Conference Team (2 -First Team); two players named to the All-Defensive team, and two named to the All-Tournament Team.

In his first season at Emmanuel, Head Coach Kevin Fagan led the Lions to the first Conference Carolinas Championship in school history and their first trip to the NCAA Division II Softball Championship Tournament. The 2021 Lions finished in the top 3 of most offensive categories in history of program, including breaking the school record for stolen bases with 81.

Fagan comes from the College of Central Florida where he turned a losing program that had never finished higher than 4th in the Mid-Florida Conference to a team that dominated the Mid-Florida Conference year after year. From 2014-2020, he coached the Patriots to several firsts, including first Conference Championship, First Region 8 Championship, first National Championship Tournament appearance (2015-2nd, 2019-3rd), first national ranking in school history and first NJCAA No. 1 ranking in school history. Fagan surpassed the 50-win mark for 5 consecutive seasons. During Fagan’s time at Central Florida, the Patriots were the most feared offensive team in the Nation. They were first in Region 8 in homeruns for six consecutive years (over 100 in 2019) and consistently finished in the Top 5 of all offensive categories in NJCAA Softball. At Central Florida, Fagan was the fastest coach to the 100, 200, and 300-win milestones. He finished there with an overall record of 355 wins and 68 losses boasting an amazing .839 winning percentage. He established single season records in wins and winning percentage and established program records in every offensive, defensive and pitching category. In just six years at the College of Central Florida, Fagan produced 20 NFCA All-Americans and 10 NJCAA All-Americans.
Fagan started his coaching career by coaching his three daughters, Kasey, Sami and Haley. All three were SEC standouts at Arkansas, Mizzou and Auburn. From 2009-2012 Fagan coached them in travel ball on Team North Florida where they were consistently competing for a National Championship. In his 4 years as Head Coach, they won ASA Gold Nationals, Champions Cup, Colorado Independence Day Tournament, The Inaugural NFCA tournament and placed third at the Premier National Championship in his last year as the head coach. In his 4 years he produced 50 scholarship players, including 14 that played in the Division 1 Women’s College World Series.
Coach Fagan also coached his three daughters at Dunnellon High School where they won two Florida state championships, were ESPN National Champions, produced three Gatorade Players of the Year, one National Gatorade Player of the Year, 7 all-state players and 3 All-Americans.

Coach Fagan is married to Nancy (Cotton) Fagan and they have 6 children - Kasey, Sami, Haley, Cole, Cameron and Jack, and a grandchild - Kaius.
