Jeanetta Elder enters her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the women’s basketball program.
A native of Athens, Ga, Elder graduated from Cedar Shoals High School, where she played varsity all four years and started three of those years. After graduating in 2019, Elder attended the now Emmanuel University where she played four years and started her junior and senior year. She averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds as a senior. Also, Elder earned First Team All-Conference and was the team captain her senior year. In addition, Elder excelled in the classroom by earning her name on the presidents list numerous of times throughout her four years and graduating magna cum laude.
Elder earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement in May and is now working towards her master’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in ESOL while at Emmanuel.
