Box Score Franklin Springs, GA - The Lions were dealt a blow early in the game as the visiting Saints got the lead early on through an Emmanuel own goal. The Lions responded very well and pressed for the equalizing goal. They eventually got the breakthrough goal in the 34th minute when Jordan Davis got on the end of a through ball and slotted the ball home. The Lions went into the half tied 1-1.
The Lions looked to continue their form into the second half but were halted when Limestone were awarded a dubious penalty kick, and Harry Cooksley dispatched it in the 55th minute. Limestone added a third in the 65th minute when Sebastian Gregersen found the net from the edge of the box. The visiting Saints added their 4th and final goal in the 77th minute when Sam Hibbert was at hand to tap home in the box.
The score line does not tell the tale of the game, as Emmanuel battled well against a very good Limestone side and were unlucky with the end result.
The Lions will be looking to continue their form but improve on the result as they take on North Greenville at home on Saturday with kick off scheduled for 5pm.
