Gaffney, SC - This evening, the men's soccer team played an away match against conference opponent, Limestone College.

The match was fairly even until Limestone pulled ahead nearly halfway through the first period, thanks to a goal by Gui Machado who was assisted by Joe Pegg in the 23:28 minute. Emmanuel would take a total of five shots, but none would find the net, resulting in a 1-0 lead for Limestone at halftime.

Though the Lions fought hard throughout the second period, they were unable to gain any momentum. The Lions' goalkeeper, Andy Dunnett, made seven saves in the second period, but the Saints still managed to extend their lead, scoring two more goals and ending the match with a 3-0 win.

The men will be back on the field Saturday, October 22, at home against Pfeiffer University. The match will begin at 6:00 p.m.
