Box Score Misenheimer, N.C.– The Lions went away to the Pfeiffer University for one more conference game. Besides all the hard work the Lions lost for 20-7. The Lions still have 2 more conference games in this season.
The Lions came out strong in the first quarter, but they could not sustain the game during the entire time. On the offensive front, Tyler Machado led the Lady Lions with 3 goals, Austin Brundage contributed 2 goals and Matt Casey contributed 1 goal. Keaton Underhill led the team with 2 assists and Camren Bent contributed 1 assistant. Tyler Machado led with 9 groundballs,
Daveion Joyner following him with 6 groundballs, and Josh Hunter and Matt Casey with 4 groundballs each one.
Defensively, Tanner Smith and Christopher Gerstmyer led the team in caused turnovers claiming 2 each one out of the team total of 9. In the goal for the entire game, Luke Harris had 13 saves out of 33 shots taken against him. He also was credited with 1 groundball and 1 caused turnover. The team successfully completed 13-22 clears while having 2 fouls violations. The Lions spent 5 minutes on 6 infractions.
The Lions will be back in action on Wednesday April 12th at 3:30 PM at Belmont Abbey College.
