FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The Emmanuel College women's soccer team fell 0-1 to Chowan University on Saturday afternoon.

The game remained scoreless for most of the match until a shot in the eighty-third minute. Chowan's Ana Salgado fired a shot that ricocheted off a defender and rolled just past the goal line. 

The Lions were unable to find the goal while the remaining seven minutes ticked by.

Freshman Moriah Logue and Sophomore Hanna Logue both led the Lion offense with 2 shots each. Senior Hannah Welch tallied 5 saves.

This final home game of the season allowed the team to celebrate the accomplishments of their seniors. Today, the following ladies were recognized:

• Emmye Holbert
• Brittany Fiveash

Congratulations to these seniors and thank you for the impact you have had on the women's soccer program.

The ladies will close out their regular season with two away games next week before post season conference play starts. The Lions take on Erskine College on Wednesday, October 24th at 5:00pm.
