WILSON, N.C. - The Emmanuel College women's soccer team was defeated 2-1 by conference opponent Barton College on Saturday afternoon. This loss brings the Lions record to 8-6 overall, 5-5 in conference.

Senior Lochlain Corliss was the first to score when she capitalized on an open net just 12 minutes into the game. The Bulldogs fired back five minutes later with a goal from Rebecca Fraser to tie up the score, 1-1.

The second half consisted of 8 shots from Barton and 6 from Emmanuel. Despite the minimal difference, the Bulldogs were able to edge out EC with a game winning goal in the 75th minute from Caitlynn Bragg. 

Senior goalkeeper Hannah Welch tallied 6 saves.

Net up, the Lions return home for a game against Georgia Gwinnett on Wednesday, October 30th.
