Franklin Springs, GA - The men's soccer team dropped their match against Erskine College on Tuesday night. The 2-0 loss moves their record to 1-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play. 

The Lions took an impressive 16 shots throughout the first half. However, none of them found their mark. This led to a scoreless first 45 minutes of play as the teams entered halftime locked at 0. 

The second half continued in similar fashion. Even more shots were taken by the Lions, but the Fleet defense continued to prevail. After 83 minutes of play, Erskine scored two goals in less than 60 seconds. Despite Emmanuel leading the game in nearly every stat category, the pair of quick scores for Erskine won them the match, 2-0. 

The Lions finished with 26 shots taken, 9 of them on goal. The Fleet ended with 18, half of them on target. 

Next up, men's soccer will face Southern Wesleyan at home on October 19 with kickoff set for 7:00pm.
