Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Lions Defeat Warriors with a Pair of Second Half Goals

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - Women's soccer faced Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday night. The Lions defeated the Warriors, 2-1, moving their record to 4-9 overall and 3-6 in league play. 

The match featured a scoreless first half as the teams battled for possession. The Lions managed to get 7 shots off, but none of them found the net. 

The second half continued in similar fashion, until a slew of goals were scored late. It started with the Lions in the 73rd and 77th minute, with Zoe Logue recording assists on back-to-back goals. The first was scored by Madison Rundbaken, while Sutton Clark knocked in the second. SWU got one back in the 84th minute, but it wasn't enough as the Lions took the match, 2-1. 
 

The Lions finished with 17 shots, 9 of them on goal. The Warriors took 12, 8 of them on goal.
 

Next up, women's soccer will face King University on the road this Saturday (10/23) at 1:00pm.
