BRISTOL, TN - The men's soccer team defeated the King University Tornado on Saturday afternoon, 1-0. The shutout moves Emmanuel's record to 3-8 (3-6 in CC). 

The Lions took five shots in the first half but were unable to score. The Tornado only got a single shot off as they were also unable to put up any goals, sending the teams into halftime locked at zero. 

The only goal of the afternoon came in the 63rd minute, when freshman Alexander Panner found junior Mikaele Blakley for his first goal of the season. A handful of shots were taken throughout the rest of the match, but neither team could put up another goal. This resulted in a shutout for the Lions, 1-0. 

Emmanuel took 11 shots, 5 of them on goal. King took 3, but none of them were on target. 

Next up, men's soccer will face Converse on Wednesday, October 27 at 7:00pm.
