Gainesville, GA - The Emmanuel College Women's Tennis Team traveled to Brenau University for tournament over the weekend.

Emmanuel played a great level of tennis earning several wins across the singles and doubles events.

In doubles competitions EC dominated Reinhardt with Alejandra Guerrero & Darja Chistov leading the way with a tight win by 7-6 over Nicolle Romero & Elise Standing. Shatavisa Ghosh & Elisa Weng were able to down Sofia Guaglianone & Tayla Kruger by 7-5. Lastly, Zyanya Rogel/Lauren Castillon squeezed a victory over Tiffany Le Roux/Taylor Nelson by 7-6. 

On the singles side of things, The Lady Lions were able to capture several good wins. Starting with Alejandra Guerrero who down SCAD Atlanta's Hanna Blinouskaya by a convincing 6-2, 6-2 and Reinhardt's Nicolle Romero who suffered an injury after the opening game. Shatavisa Ghosh defeated both SCAD Atlanta's Begona Benjumeda (6-4 6-2) and Reinhardt's Tayla Kruger 6-4 6-2. Zyanya Rogel also had a pair of great wins, first over SCAD Atlanta's Blanca Alvarez by 7-5, 6-2 and then Reinhardt's Tiffany Le Roux 6-2, 6-0. 

Coming up next, Emmanuel will host the University of North Georgia Nighthawks to close the Fall Season. First serve is scheduled for 1PM.
