FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The women's soccer team fell to the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Tuesday night, 1-3. The loss moves Emmanuel's record to 1-2 overall. 

The first goal of the match came in just the fourth minute, when YHC's Brooke Morrison got it over the hands of Emmanuel's goalkeeper. The rest of the first half was predominantly an even exchange as the teams traded shots. Sophomore Zoe Logue got three shots on goal, but all of them were saved by the Mountain Lions. In the 38th minute, YHC managed to sneak another one past the Lions' defense as they increased their lead heading into halftime, 2-0. 

In the 62nd minute, the Lions found the net as freshman Olivia Weider scored her second goal of the season to pull the Lions within one score, 2-1. However, the Mountain Lions responded two minutes later as they added their third goal of the night to increase their lead. Emmanuel got a couple more shots off, but neither found the net as YHC claimed victory, 3-1. 

Emmanuel ended the night with 10 shots taken, 8 of which were on goal, while the Mountain Lions took 16, 10 of them being on goal. 

Next up, women's soccer will host North Greenville for a conference matchup on Saturday, September 18 at 5:00 PM.
