FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - Women's soccer hosted North Greenville University on Saturday evening. The Crusaders defeated the Lions, 4-1.
NGU scored the first goal of the match in the sixth minute to take an early lead. The Lions got a couple of shots on goal, but both were saved by the Crusaders. In the 31st minute, NGU scored their second goal to increase their lead going into halftime, 2-0.
Four minutes into the second half, the Lions got on the board as Moriah Logue found the net to pull the score back within a goal. However, NGU managed to put up two more goals on Emmanuel as they went on to win, 4-1.
The Crusaders ended the night with 23 shots, 10 of them on goal. The Lions finished with 6 shots, 4 of them on goal.
