FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The women's volleyball team faced Flagler College in the second leg of their double header on Saturday. The Saints defeated the Lions, 3-0, moving Emmanuel's record to 4-8. 

The Saints held a narrow lead early in the opening set. However, the Lions matched them point for point and eventually gained the advantage, 9-8. The Lions continued to lead until the score was 12-10. But Flagler managed an 8-1 run that suddenly gave them a large advantage, 18-13. Emmanuel was unable to recover as Flagler took the set, 25-18. 

Flagler carried their momentum into the second set as they built an early lead, 13-5. The Lions were unable to put up a fight as the Saints took the set, 25-13. 

Flagler scored the first point of the third set and never looked back. The Lions were never able to hold the lead as the Saints controlled the pace from start to finish, taking the set 25-12. 

Sophomore Emily Hanson finished with 5 kills and a block, while senior Aleksandra Hamuda had 4 kills. 

Next up, women's volleyball will face Georgia College on the road at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 28.
