Florence, SC --- Emmanuel College Men's Soccer traveled to Francis Marion University for a Conference Carolinas matchup between the Patriots this past weekend.
Emmanuel stayed silent in the first half of play as they would put up no shots. The patriots however would put the Lions goalie,
Rodrigo De La Terga, to the test as they would put up 8 shots. All of the shots would miss high and wide of the goal.
The Lions came out looking to score and take the lead in the second half of play. The Patriots and the Lions would put up 3 shots each in the second half. The lions would save one of the three shots put up. The first and only goal would be scored at 64:44 for the Lions by
Alexander Panner. The shot would be assisted by
Lucas Pollacchi and Mikaele Blakely. The Lions would secure the victory over the Patriots 1-0 after 90 minutes of play.
The Lions will travel to North Greenville University on October 11th for a Conference Carolinas matchup with the Crusaders. The game is set to begin at 7:30pm.
