Pensacola, FL. --- Emmanuel College women's bowling team came in the preseason polls ranked at #1 and they did not disappoint this weekend as they took first place in the Rattler Classic.
 
The Lions showed up this weekend as the only DII college in the Tournament to compete. They faced seven other teams, all of which were DI Universities. Macy Barber led the team in average score and was named All-Tournament. On Sunday the team beat a top 20 division I school, Tulane University, twice to win the Championship. At this time, Tulane was undefeated and were ranked #1 seed in Sunday's best of 7 match-play rounds. This meant that they would have to have been beaten twice. The Lions beat Tulane 4-2 in both rounds clinching the championship win.
