Franklin Springs, GA --- Emmanuel College Women's Soccer hosted Belmont Abbey College for their final matchup of the regular season of play this afternoon. The Lady Lions would also celebrate their seniors and all accomplishments they had made of this past season and their time here at Emmanuel College.

Emmanuel came out looking to extend their Conference Carolinas standing on the last night of regular season play. Both goalies were put to the test in the first half of play as Emmanuel would put up three shots, all of which would miss high and wide. The Crusaders put up 1 shot that would miss wide. The first half of play would stay quiet. The Lions and the Crusaders would head into the half tied 0-0. 

The Lions came out looking to score and take the lead in the second half of play. Both teams would take more chances at scoring in the second half. The Lions would put up 4 more shots, 3 of which would miss high and wide and one that would result in a goal. The Crusaders would put up 3 more shots, all of which would miss high and wide. The Lions would score they only goal of the afternoon at 52:36. Senior, Viki Lederer, would score assisted by Zoe Logue. After 90 minutes of play, The Lions would secure the victory on senior night and beat the Crusaders 1-0.
 
The Lions will head to the Conference Carolinas tournament on Wednesday, October 26th.
