Franklin Springs, GA – Emmanuel Women's Basketball hosted Georgia College for a non-conference matchup with the Bobcats.
The Lions comes into this game 0-1 on the season after a loss against USC Aiken this week. Georgia College comes into this game 3-1 on the season after a close win over Limestone. In the first quarter of play, the game would be separated by a 9-point difference.

The Lions looked to come out in the second quarter and take the lead before half. The second quarter of play would also be separated by a 9-point difference. The leading scorers for Emmanuel would be: Sydney Wyatt (5pts), Macy Passmore (3pts), Makenzie Caldwell, Ade'jah James and
Amia Brown would all score 2 a piece for the Lions. The Bobcats would lead 36-27 heading into the half.
The Lions looked to come out of the half, into the third quarter, in hopes of turning the score around. The third quarter of play would be separated by a 12-point difference. The leading scorers for Emmanuel would be:
Jeanetta Elder (6pts), Jazmine Allen and Sydney Wyatt would both score 2 points a piece to boost the Lions score. The Lions head to the fourth a final quarter of play down 49-37.
These final ten minutes of play would be the deciding factor for whether the Lions would secure their first victory of the 2022-2023 season. Macy Passmore would get the Lions on the board first in the 4th quarter scoring a layup. The Bobcats would answer seconds later. Sydney Wyatt,
Jazmin Allen and Macy Passmore would be the leading scorers for the Lions in the final quarter of play. At the end of four, ten minute quarters, the Bobcats would secure the victory 63-52.
Emmanuel will host Lees-McRae College for a Conference Matchup with the Bobcats on Tuesday, November 22nd. The game is set to begin at 5:00 pm
