Franklin Springs, GA – The Women's Basketball team hosted Lees-McRae for a conference matchup with the Bobcats.
The Lions comes into this game 0-2 on the season after a loss against Georgia College. Georgia College comes into this game 0-4 on the season after a loss to Emory & Henry. In the first quarter of play, the Lions would lead by a significant difference.

The Lions looked to come out in the second quarter and advance their lead before half. The second quarter of play would also be separated a significant difference in the Lions favor. The leading scorers for Emmanuel would be: Sydney Wyatt (5pts),
Jazmin Allen (6pts), Sydney Watt (5pts) and Abby Crawford (3pts.). The Lions would lead 45-16 heading into the half.
The Lions came out of the half looking to secure the win. Lees-McRae came into this quarter looking for a comeback play. The bobcats would get ion a role late in the 3rd quarter. They would double the amount they scored in the first half of play putting them down 33-58 to the Lions. The Lions lead scorers would be: Abby Crawford (2pts),
Jazmin Allen (4pts) and
Jeanetta Elder who scored 7 points. These three ladies have been on fire ¾ of the way through the game.
These final ten minutes of play would be the deciding factor for whether the Lions would secure their first victory of the 2022-2023 season. The Bobcats would go on quite the hot streak but the Lions would not back down. The Lions would tack on 11 more points to secure the victory 69-60 putting the Lions up 1-0 in Conference Carolinas play.
Emmanuel will travel to Newberry College to play the Wolves on Tuesday, November 29th. The game is set to begin at 5:00pm.
