Pembroke, NC – Emmanuel Men's Basketball traveled to UNC Pembroke to face off in a conference matchup against the Braves on December 3rd. 
 
The Lions comes into this game 3-2 on the season after a huge upset over Lees-Mcrae College the week prior to open up Conference Carolinas play. The first half of play would be a close game as neither team would be able to take a huge lead. It was a slow start for the Lions as the Braves would go up by 9 just six minutes into the game. The Braves would stay hot and increase their lead to 12 points over the Lions with 8 minutes left in the first half. With under 5 minutes left in the first half, the tables would turn the and Lions would finally get their streaks of buckets. Jeremiah Francis, Kendall Latney, Chris Dees and KJ Jones would bring the Lions back within 5 sending them into the half down 26-31. 
 
Once again, the Braves came out on the board first in the second half of play. Halfway through the second half, the Braves would take their biggest lead of the game. They would go up by 15 points over the Lions. At this point, the Lions knew this was their time to grind. Latney, Jones, Dees and Gray-Watson would all put points up on the board in attempt to cut into the deficit. With under a minute to play, the Braves increased their lead by 17 points. At the end of the second quarter, the Braves would secure the win over the Lions, 72-56.

Emmanuel will travel to Chowan on Monday, December 5th. The game is set to begin at 6:00pm.
