CARROLTON, GA - The Emmanuel baseball team faced the University of West Georgia on Tuesday night. The Wolves defeated the Lions 11-6, moving Emmanuel's record to 16-23 overall.
The Lions took a 2-1 lead after scoring a pair of runs in the top of the second. However, three in a row in the bottom of the same inning for the Wolves gave them an advantage they would never forfeit. Emmanuel would score four more times, but consistent answers by UWG kept the Wolves out of the Lions' reach.
Emmanuel recorded 8 hits on the day, while UWG had 12.
The Wolves went through eight pitchers on the evening, but ultimately Jenson Barker recorded the win.
Half a dozen Lions took a turn on the mound, but it was Kedric Zimmer credited with the loss.
Next up, Emmanuel baseball will face North Greenville on Friday, April 15 at 3:00pm.
