FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA - The men's lacrosse team hosted Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday afternoon. The Crusaders defeated the Lions, 23-16. This moves Emmanuel's record to 2-11 overall and 0-5 in league play.
The Crusaders led from start to finish after gaining an 8-1 advantage by the end of the opening quarter. The Lions scored the first goal of the second half, but the Crusaders answered with several more to hold the Lions at bay. Ultimately Belmont Abbey won the match by 17 goals, 23-16.
Luke Hildebrant finished with two goals, the most on the team for Emmanuel.
Next up, men's lacrosse will play their final game of the regular season at Lees-McRae on Wednesday, April 20 at 4:00pm.
