Franklin Springs, GA. --- Emmanuel College Women's Soccer team hosted Chowan University in a Conference matchup this afternoon.
 
Both the Hawks and the Lions would stay quiet the first half both only putting up 4 and 5 shots each. Lions goalie. Hannah Thompson, played an amazing first half saving 3 of the 5 shots taken by the Hawks. The Lions would have three shots miss out top of the goal and one would be saved by Hawks keeper, Kristen Peterson.
 
The second half of play would be intense as Chowan would put up 9 shots and Emmanuel would put up another 4 shots. Chowan would take a very late game lead as they would score on the Lions at 81:57. The Lions played hard seeking to tie the goal but ultimately ran out of time. Emmanuel falls short to Chowan losing 0-1. 

Emmanuel will host the King University for a conference match up on Tuesday, September 27 beginning at 4:30 p.m.
