Franklin Springs, GA --- Emmanuel College Men's Soccer hosted King University tonight in a Conference Carolinas matchup. 


The Lions dominated this Conference Carolinas match. At just 3 minutes and 52 seconds into the game, Rafael Calderonscored Emmanuel's first goal assisted by Albert Bajrami and Lucas Pollacchi. The Lions would go up 1-0 in the first half and keep the Tornados silent. Emmanuel put up 8 shots in the first half, 4 of which were saved by Tornados goalie, Jack Hyatt, 3 missed high and wide and one was successful. The Tornados put up 2 shots in the first half, both of miss would miss high.

Emmanuel came out strong in the second half looking to extend their lead. The Lions would put up point number 2 on the board at 47:57. Rafael Calderon would once again score putting the Lions up 2-0 shortly into the second half. The Lions would continue to dominate as they would once again score at 88:06. Lucas Pollacchi would make the shot unassisted putting the Lions up 3-0. The Lions would dominate the Tornados on the field putting up 14 shots in the second half to the Tornados 3 shots. At the end of 90 minutes played, Emmanuel would secure the victory 3-0 against the Tornados.

Emmanuel will host Johnson & Wales University for a non-conference match with the Wildcats on Thursday, September 29. The game is set to start at 5:00 pm
