Franklin Springs, GA --- Emmanuel College Women's Soccer hosted UNC Pembroke in a Conference Carolinas matchup.
The Lions fought a tough battle in this Conference Carolinas match up. At just 1 minutes and 39s seconds into the game,
Emilia Dingwall scored Emmanuel's first goal off of a penalty kick. The Lions would go up 1-0. UNC Pembroke would answer the goal at 37:29 by Anna Grossheim. The Lions and Braves would go tied at 1-1 into the half.
UNC Pembroke would come out strong in the start of the second half scoring the their second goal at 47:12 by Ashleigh Harris. This would put the Braves up 2-1. The Lions looked to tie the game at 52:13 but the shot would be saved by Braves goalie, Chiara Coppin. At 69:15, the third goal for the Braves was scored by Anna Grossheim. Emmanuel would put up one more shot before 90 minutes had been played but the shot would miss far right. The Lions fall to 3-4 in Conference play.
The Lions will travel to Southern Wesleyan University on October 5th for a Conference Carolinas matchup with the Warriors. The game is set to begin at 5:00pm.
