Franklin Springs, GA – Men's Volleyball hosted Tusculum University for a non-conference matchup with the Pioneers this afternoon.
 
Tusculum came into this game 0-1 on this season but gave the Lions a run. They would take early leads against the Lions but when crunch time came, the lions would fight to win three of the four sets played.  Set 1 (25-18), set 2 (21-25), set 3 (25-19) and the decision set would be set 4 (28-26). Emmanuel would lead in a majority of the overall points in all categories. In points they led 68-62, kills were 58-45, aces (5-10), blocks (5-7), assists (55-42) and Digs (35-27) Jayden Young had a match high of 27 kills followed. Daniel Beacham had 2 aces and 3 blocks. Henrick Westhoff had a match high of 51 assists. Nicklas Eichenburger finished the match with 11 digs.
 
Emmanuel will travel to California to compete against several schools next week. First off will be UC Irvine on January 13th. The game is set to begin at 7:00pm.
