FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team hosted the Young Harris Mountain Lions tonight in Conference Carolinas action. It was a defensive battle from the start, but the Mountain Lions were able get one across in 1
st half to take home a 1-0-win. The loss dropped Emmanuel's record to 6-5-1 overall and 5-3-1 in conference. With the win, the Mountain Lions improved to 9-2-3 overall and 8-0-2 in conference.
The first half got off to a slow start offensively for both teams, with one goal scored by the Mountain Lions in the 36
th minute. Young Harris took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The second half was much of the same, as both teams played tremendous defense to keep the score 1-0, Mountain Lions. The Lions led Young Harris in shots on goal, 5-3, but it was the Mountain Lions who took home the victory.
Up next for Emmanuel will be a conference match at Erskine College on Saturday at 4:30p.m.
