MOUNT OLIVE, NC – The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball team traveled to Mount Olive to take on the University of Mount Olive Trojans in Conference Carolinas action. The Lions battled hard but ended up losing the match in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 26-24) With the loss, the Lions fell to 10-8 overall and 6-3 in conference. The Trojans improved to 12-6 overall, 6-1 in conference.
Overall, the Lions had 31 kills, 4 aces, 10 blocks, and 60 digs.
Senior,
Alaina Emminger and freshman,
Ella Johns led the way for the Lions with 8 kills apiece.
The senior trio of
Emily Hanson,
Gabrielle McGlamery, and
Isabella Appling each had an ace from the service line.
McGlamery also contributed 22 assists to the game.
Senior, Joceyln Martin had 4 blocks, with senior,
Samantha Dibene and freshman,
Brianna Bigelow adding 3 a piece.
Next up the Lions will face Francis Marion University at the Shaw Athletic Center on Friday, October 13 at 7!
