FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Soccer team squared off against the University of Mount Olive today in Conference Carolinas action. It was a defensive battle from the start, which each team getting one goal across to end play in a draw, 1-1. With the draw, the Lions record moves to 5-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in conference.
Emmanuel got things started offensively with a goal by senior,
Rafael Calderon, assisted by
Martin Cruz in the 12
th minute of the 1
sthalf. The score stayed this way until the 75
th minute of play, when Mount Olive tied the match at 1. After 90 minutes of regulation, the match ended with the score knotted at 1.
Emmanuel ended the match with 6 shots on goal to Mount Olive's 4.
