Franklin Springs, GA - The Lady Lions hosted Southern Wesleyan University in a matchup with the Warriors for the second time this season. Last meeting, on December 7th, the Lions ran away with the victory 68-51. This game however, the Warriors would scrape by with a 5 point victory.
The Lady Lions would come out hot in the first half of play. They would dominate the first quarter as they would go up by 12 points headed into the second quarter. The Warriors would score the first six points opening the second quarter until
Macy Passmore would put an end to their hot streak by draining a bucket in the paint. The Warriors would drain a 3 to head into the half down by 4 points to the Lions. In the third quarter, their would be 4 lead changes between the two but the Lions would continue to hold onto their lead heading into the final quarter of play. SWU would take an early lead in the final quarter of play by scoring the first 11 points of the quarter. SWU would take the lead on hold onto the lead in the final quarter ultimately securing the victory 76-71.
