GAME 1

Newberry College scored three runs in the sixth inning, but Emmanuel College Lions still won 7-4 on Saturday. Newberry College batters contributing to the big inning included Molly Mattas and Vanessa Wilson, who all drove in runs.
Emmanuel College Lions got things started in the first inning. Kinsley Goolsby drove in one when Goolsby singled.
Emmanuel scored three runs in the fifth inning. KYNA CHENEY and MACKENSIE HOGAN each had RBIs in the big inning.
Macy Kelley was the winning pitcher for Emmanuel. The pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings, walking zero. KAITLYN PICKENS threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Lindsey Foster took the loss for Newberry College. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing four hits and four runs.
Newberry College socked two home runs on the day. Mattas put one out in the sixth inning. Wilson had a four bagger in the sixth inning.
Emmanuel tallied nine hits on the day. CHENEY and HOGAN each collected multiple hits for Emmanuel College HOGAN and CHENEY all had two hits to lead the Lions. Emmanuel didn't commit a single error in the field. GABBY BUFFINGTON had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
Newberry College totaled ten hits. Melanie Carr, Mattas, and Emily Hughes all managed multiple hits for Newberry College. Newberry College was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Tori Rose had the most chances in the field with eight.

GAME 2

Emmanuel College was victorious over Newberry College, 4-2
Newberry College got things moving in the second inning. Amber Dalfonso drove in one when Dalfonso singled.
MADISON EDWARDS took the win for Emmanuel. The right hander surrendered two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out four.
Olivia Chestnut led things off in the pitcher's circle for Newberry College. The hurler lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six. Jayla Jackson threw one and one-third innings in relief.
Emmanuel College smacked two home runs on the day. Alyssa Adams had a homer in the sixth inning. KYNA CHENEY had a four bagger in the sixth inning.
The Lions scattered six hits in the game. Adams and ELLEE VARNER all collected multiple hits for Emmanuel College. VARNER and Adams each collected two hits to lead Emmanuel. The Lions were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Eliana Cooper made the most plays with four.
Mady Brown went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Newberry College in hits.
