FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – The Emmanuel Men's Basketball team hosted Erskine College tonight in Conference Carolinas action. The Lions got off to a hot start, going on a 16-0 run to start the contest. The Flying Fleet would make things interesting in the second half, but the Lions held on to the lead to win by ten, 75-65.With the win, the Lions improve to 15-4 on the season, 7-1 in conference play.

Tavarus Webb got things started for the Lions with three made threes in the first five minutes of play. The Lions went on a 16-0 run to start the contest. Webb led the Lions in the first half with 11 points. Emmanuel shot 50% from the field in the half (15-30), going 6-17 from beyond the arc. At the half, the Lions led, 39-24.
In the second half saw Erskine make things interesting, as the Flying Fleet went 15-23 from the field (65.2%) and 9-14 from three. The Lions were 11-27 from the field, but 9-9 from the foul line. Erskine would get within 9 points of the lead, but the Lions were able to maintain control of the game and win this one by double digits, 75-65.
Tavarus Webb led the way for Emmanuel with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and 3 steals. Junior,
Chris Dees contributed 15 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. Senior, KJ Jones added 13 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals, with junior,
Kendall Latney adding 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.
