TIGERVILLE, SC – The Emmanuel Men's Basketball team traveled to Tigerville, SC tonight to take on North Greenville University in Conference Carolinas action. The Lions got off to a hot start offensively and controlled the game the rest of the way, winning 79-60 on the road. With the win, the Lions improve to 20-5 overall and 12-2 in conference.
The Lions got off to a 18-0 start in the first half, behind three three-pointers from
Chris Dees. The Lions were 14-31 from the field in the first half and 3-12 from beyond the arc. Emmanuel made 9-10 at the free throw line. At the half, the Lions led 40-22 behind 13-points from
KJ Jones II.
In the second half, the Lions continued to control the tempo of the game, shooting 50% from the field and going 3-9 from beyond the arc. The Lions expanded their lead in the second half, leading by as much as 24 mid way through the half. The Lions win this one by 19, 79-60.
KJ Jones II led the way with 30 points and 3 assists.
Chris Dees contributed 12 points and 3 steals, with
Kendall Latney and
Tavarus Webb adding 10 points apiece.
Nate Gordon led the Lions with 7 rebounds and a block on the night.
