AUGUSTA, GA – The Emmanuel Women's Tennis team traveled to Augusta, Ga. to face the Augusta University Jaguars in region play. The Jaguars got off to a strong start, taking the doubles point and closed out the match taking three of the singles points to earn a 4-0 win. With the loss, the Lions fall to 2-5 on the season.

DOUBLES PLAY – 

1.    Emmanuel's #1 Doubles team of Darja Chistov and Sabina Roua fell to Augusta's Andrea Gonzalez and Juliana Martinez in a competitive match, 7-5. 
2.    Emmanuel's #2 Doubles team of Shatavisa Ghosh and Tawana Senah fell to Madeline Frediani and Camilla Taborga of Augusta, 6-3. 
3.    Emmanuel's #3 doubles team of Ana Gonclaves and Victoria Rodriguez defeated Priscilla Landi and Giovanna Patrocinio of Augusta, 7-6. 

SINGLES MATCHES – 

•    At #3 Singles, Emmanuel's Shatavisa Ghosh fell to Juliana Martinez in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.
•    At #4 Singles, Emmanuel's Sabina Roua fell to Priscilla Landi of Augusta in two competitive sets, 6-3, 6-4. 
•    At #6 Singles, Emmanuel's Zyanya Rogel fell to Augusta's Giovanna Patrocinio, 6-2, 6-0. 

The #1, #2, and #5 singles matches remained unfinished. 

Next up, the Lions will host Lander University on Tuesday at 1:30PM.
